Belgian Pro League outfit KAA Gent has officially confirmed the departure of Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha, whose contract is set to expire at the end of next month.

The 27-year-old Nigerian international has decided to embark on a new chapter in his career after three successful years with the Buffaloes, having joined the club in 2022 from Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.

During his time at KAA Gent, Torunarigha made an impressive 145 appearances across all competitions, establishing himself as a key figure in the team's defensive lineup. His stint with the Belgian club was marked by success, as he helped the team secure the Belgian Cup in his debut season.

Torunarigha's career also saw significant international progress during his time in Belgium, as he earned his call-up to the Nigerian national team, becoming a Super Eagles player while representing KAA Gent.

According to reports, the central defender has been linked with a potential return to Germany, though his next destination remains unconfirmed at this time.

The departure marks the end of a successful chapter for both the player and the former Belgian Pro League champions, as Torunarigha looks to continue his career progression elsewhere after making a significant impact during his time in Belgium.
