Former Turkish referee Ahmet Çakar has made a bold prediction about Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen's future, insisting that the 26-year-old will join Chelsea next season following the conclusion of his loan spell at Galatasaray.

Osimhen, who has attracted significant interest from several clubs including Chelsea and Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, is widely expected to leave his parent club Napoli on a permanent transfer during the upcoming summer window.

"I say Osimhen will go to Chelsea. He's right," Çakar was quoted as saying by Habersarikirmizi. "Playing in the Premier League at the age of 26 is an important career milestone. If he plays for Chelsea, he'll go to [Saudi] Arabia for the same amount after his 30s anyway."

The Nigerian international's future has been the subject of intense speculation, with his loan deal at Turkish giants Galatasaray set to expire at the end of the current season. Despite interest from multiple clubs, Çakar appears convinced that Stamford Bridge will be Osimhen's next destination.

Osimhen has previously been linked with several Premier League clubs, but Chelsea has emerged as the frontrunner according to recent reports. The London club is reportedly looking to strengthen their attacking options for the 2025/26 season.

The striker has built a reputation as one of Europe's most clinical forwards during his time at Napoli, where he played a crucial role in their Serie A triumph. His performances have continued to attract attention during his loan spell in Turkey.

Chelsea fans will be eagerly awaiting official confirmation of any potential deal as the summer transfer window approaches. If completed, Osimhen's signing would represent a significant statement of intent from the Premier League club.
