Popular Kannywood actress Mansura Isa has confirmed the collapse of her second marriage, describing the shocking experience as orchestrated by her ex-husband to gain control of a lucrative N4 billion contract.

Speaking on BBC Hausa's programme 'Mahangar Zamani' alongside veteran actress Fati Mohammed, Mansura revealed that what she believed was a genuine relationship turned out to be a calculated scheme.

"I married for love. You know what they say, love is blind. But it turns out he had a different agenda, not real love," she explained during the interview.

According to Mansura, she met her second husband through an uncle when she secured a contract in Lagos. Needing representation in the city, she contacted the man to oversee the deal, unaware of his ulterior motives.

"He suddenly proposed marriage, and I accepted, thinking he was genuine. He even said I could continue with my film career. We got married at night, and the next morning he left for Lagos," Mansura recounted.

The actress revealed that her ex-husband brought a contract agreement to their wedding, asking her to sign documents authorizing him to manage the N4 billion contract on her behalf because he was now her husband. After obtaining her signature, he allegedly began communicating directly with the involved parties and completely cut her off.

"I never saw him again after that. He stopped answering my calls, and eventually divorced me," she said, adding that when confronted in Lagos, he claimed to have forgotten he was married.

During the same interview, Fati Mohammed defended Kannywood actresses against accusations of marital instability, noting that marriages fail for many women, not just celebrities, but public figures receive more attention when relationships end.

"People assume women refuse to stay in marriage because they're used to luxury, but it's not that simple," Mohammed stated, suggesting that many men marry actresses for lust rather than love.

Mansura's second marriage had gained public attention in June 2024 when she remarried after separating from her first husband, actor Sani Danja, with whom she shares four children—Iman, Khalifa, Sultan, and Sudais. Videos from her second wedding went viral at the time, showing that the bride price was set at one million naira.

Despite the painful experience, Mansura says she has accepted her fate and is moving forward with her life and career.
