The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced a new date for the matchday 19 fixture between Abakaliki FC and Osun United, moving the game to Wednesday, May 28, 2025.

According to the league body, the match will kick off at 3pm at the Abakaliki Township Stadium in Ebonyi State. The rescheduling was necessitated by Abakaliki FC's involvement in the 2025 President Federation Cup.

The Rice Boys, as Abakaliki FC are fondly called, are currently battling to avoid relegation in the Nigeria National League while simultaneously preparing for their Federation Cup final against Kwara United.

This fixture adjustment comes at a critical time for Abakaliki FC as they navigate a challenging season on two fronts. The team's management will be hoping to secure positive results in both competitions as they fight to maintain their status in the second tier of Nigerian football while also aiming for cup glory.

The Nigeria National League has seen significant developments this season, with teams like Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars, and Doma United already securing spots in the Super Eight playoffs that will determine promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
