Nigeria's Super Eagles will depart for London on Sunday to participate in the Unity Cup invitational tournament, with the traveling contingent comprising Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) players and backroom staff.

The delegation will leave from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, with local-based players including Ahmed Musa, Ifeanyi Oyebuchi, Papa Daniel, Nduka Junior, Sadiq Ismaila, and Waliu Ojetoye joining the trip. Other NPFL stars invited by head coach Eric Chelle include Collins Ugwueze, Saviour Isaac, Abubakar Adamu, and Sikiru Alimi.

According to reports, the home-based contingent will link up with their foreign-based teammates upon arrival in England's capital city.

The three-time African champions will face their eternal rivals, the Black Stars of Ghana, in their opening match of the tournament. The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.

Following the Unity Cup engagement, a different Super Eagles squad will travel to Moscow for another international friendly against Russia on Friday, June 6.

The tournament provides an opportunity for Coach Chelle to assess his squad options as Nigeria continues preparations for upcoming international competitions.
