Nigerian midfielder Suleiman Idris has officially returned to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars following the completion of his loan spell at Armenian club West Armenia FC.
The talented player, also known as Manu, spent the 2024-25 season on loan with the Armenian outfit, where he made 18 appearances, gaining valuable international experience before returning to his parent club.
Kano Pillars expressed delight at welcoming back their midfielder, making the announcement via their official Facebook page: "Kano Pillars FC is delighted to welcome back our talented midfielder Suleiman Idris (Manu) following the completion of his loan spell at Armenian side West Armenia FC for the 2024/2025 Football Season."
The club, popularly known as 'Sai Masu Gida', further stated: "We're excited to have him back in the fold as he continues his football journey with Sai Masu Gida."
Idris's return is expected to bolster Kano Pillars' squad as they continue their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League. The midfielder's experience abroad could prove valuable for the northern Nigerian club as they push for honors in domestic competitions.
The player's loan move represents one of the growing instances of Nigerian talents seeking development opportunities in less traditional football markets, with Armenia providing a platform for Idris to test his abilities in European football.
