Kwara United defender Yahaya Ibrahim has declared the team's determination to clinch their first-ever President Federation Cup title when they face Nigeria National League (NNL) side Abakaliki FC in the upcoming final.

The Harmony Boys, as Kwara United are fondly called, have their sights set not only on the prestigious domestic cup but also on securing a coveted spot in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, which comes as a reward for the tournament winner.

Speaking to sportsration, Ibrahim emphasized that reaching the final is just one step toward their ultimate goal. "We're in the final now, but the job is not done," the defender stated. "We want to give everything to win the trophy and qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup. That would be a dream come true for the club and for me personally."

The final presents a significant opportunity for Kwara United to make history by winning their first Federation Cup title while also earning the right to represent Nigeria in continental competition next season.

Their opponents, Abakaliki FC, have already made headlines in the tournament by eliminating several Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) teams on their path to the final, setting the stage for what promises to be an intriguing contest between the NPFL side and the lower-tier challengers.

Coach Sanni of Kwara United had previously attributed the team's success in reaching the final to hard work, while Abakaliki FC's representative Onyedika has been quoted saying his team is not intimidated by NPFL opposition.

The date and venue for the 2025 President Federation Cup final are yet to be announced by the Nigeria Football Federation.
