Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of several new advisers and senior aides to strengthen his administration's coordination and grassroots engagement efforts.

The appointments, which took effect from May 22, 2025, were announced in a statement released on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and signed by Ismaila Uba Misilli, the Director-General of Press Affairs at the Government House.

According to the statement, the appointments align with Governor Yahaya's commitment to strengthening coordination, fostering public engagement, and integrating local stakeholders into the government's development agenda.

Among the key appointments is Abubakar Abdullahi, popularly known as Habun DK, who has been named Special Adviser on Agriculture and Farmer-Herder Coordination. This appointment underscores the administration's focus on agricultural development and peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders in the state.

Alhaji Muhammad Saleh Jauro (Jauro Hammadu) has been appointed Senior Special Assistant II on Public Communications, while Mrs. Euphemia Chizoba Obio-Okeke and Hajiya Hannatu M. Ibrahim will serve as Senior Special Assistants II on Community Relations.

The governor also appointed several Special Assistants II (Political), including Aminu Abdullahi, Musa Abubakar Bojude, Usman Baba, Mohammed Dahiru, Mohammed Umar, Ibrahim Bapparu (Kala), Umar Abdullahi Rambo, Adamu Mohammed (Maja), Musa Aliyu, and Bulus Yerima Bangunji.

Additionally, new Special Assistants II on Women Mobilisation have been appointed, including Hajiya Amina Abubakar, Sadiya Alhassan, Aminu Maiwake, and Lami Adamu.

In the statement, Governor Yahaya expressed confidence in the competence, loyalty, and dedication of the new appointees, emphasizing their critical roles in delivering effective service to the people of Gombe State.

These appointments are expected to enhance the administration's capacity to implement its development agenda and respond effectively to the needs of citizens across the state.
