The Federal High Court in Abuja has admitted crucial video evidence in the ongoing trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Justice James Omotosho on Thursday admitted a flash drive containing three separate videos featuring General T.Y. Danjuma, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, and the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Adeola Ajayi, as Exhibit PW-P. A certificate of compliance was also admitted as Exhibit PWP-1.

The evidence was tendered by Paul Erokoro, SAN, counsel for Kanu, and faced no opposition from the Federal Government's lawyer, Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN.

According to court proceedings, the three videos were played in open court, after which a DSS operative identified only as "BBB" was cross-examined by Erokoro. The operative appeared as a witness for the Nigerian Government in the case.

Kanu, who has been facing terrorism-related charges, has consistently denied the allegations against him. The IPOB leader's case has drawn significant attention, with his organization previously demanding live streaming and full public access to his trial proceedings.

The DSS has previously denied involvement in Kanu's controversial arrest in Kenya before he was brought back to Nigeria to face trial.

The court session marks a significant development in the high-profile case that has attracted widespread interest across Nigeria and beyond, particularly in the southeastern region where IPOB has its strongest support base.

The trial continues as observers await further proceedings and a final judgment in the case that has significant political and security implications for Nigeria.
