Barcelona director Deco has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) made a staggering €250 million offer for teenage sensation Lamine Yamal last season, following the youngster's impressive performances that helped Spain win the European Championship.

Speaking to RAC1, the former Barcelona and Chelsea star revealed that the rumors about PSG's interest in the 17-year-old prodigy were indeed factual. "Yes, last season, not this one yet, but what we want is for him to stay. We don't want to listen to offers, PSG asked, but Real Madrid didn't," Deco stated.

The Barcelona director emphasized that the club has rejected all offers for Yamal and is determined not to sell him at any price, highlighting the teenager's importance to the Catalan giants' future plans.

Yamal, who turned 17 this year, has already established himself as one of football's most exciting talents. His contributions have been crucial in Barcelona's successful campaign this season, helping the club secure a treble of domestic trophies - LaLiga, Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España.

The Spanish international's meteoric rise has drawn attention from Europe's elite clubs, with PSG apparently willing to break transfer records to secure his signature. However, Barcelona's stance remains firm as they view Yamal as a cornerstone of their sporting project under manager Hansi Flick.

This revelation comes amid reports that Barcelona might be considering handing Yamal the iconic number 10 shirt previously worn by club legend Lionel Messi, further underlining the faith the club has in the young forward's abilities.

With Barcelona looking to build on their domestic success next season, retaining talents like Yamal will be crucial as they aim to challenge for the UEFA Champions League title as well.
