Kwara United midfielder Akanni Akeem has declared the team's readiness and motivation ahead of their crucial President Federation Cup semi-final clash against Rangers International FC.

The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, with both teams vying for a spot in the final of Nigeria's oldest football competition.

Speaking to Kwara United's media team, Akeem expressed confidence in the team's preparation and unity ahead of the crucial fixture.

"With the level of preparation and the unity among the players, I can confidently say we are battle-ready for this crucial game," Akeem stated.

The midfielder further assured supporters of the Harmony Boys of total commitment from the entire squad, emphasizing that success would require a collective effort rather than individual brilliance.

"Our fans should expect 100% commitment from me and the whole team. It's not about one player—it's a collective effort," he added.

Kwara United, who reached the semi-finals alongside Rangers, Ikorodu City, and others, are aiming to make history by lifting the Federation Cup for the first time in the club's existence.

"We want to make history by winning this match and going on to lift the cup for the first time. This is our moment to give back to the football-loving people of Kwara," Akeem declared.

The midfielder also called for increased support from fans as they approach this critical stage of the competition.

"We urge all fans and supporters to redouble their efforts at this stage. Your support means everything, and together, we can make history," he concluded.

The winner of Wednesday's encounter will advance to the final of the 2025 President Federation Cup, moving one step closer to continental football next season.
