Former Tottenham Hotspur attacker Darren Bent has outlined three key players Arsenal should target in the upcoming summer transfer window to bolster their squad for the 2025/26 season.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Bent suggested that Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams, Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres, and Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi would be ideal additions to Mikel Arteta's side as they aim to secure silverware next season after ending the current campaign without a trophy.

Arsenal's hopes for this season were dealt a significant blow following their elimination from the UEFA Champions League. However, Bent believes that with these strategic signings, the North London club could mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title next season.

"David Raya in goal. Then I've gone Ben White, Saliba, Gabriel, Myles Lewis-Skelly [in the defense]," Bent said while constructing his ideal Arsenal lineup for next season.

For the midfield, he recommended: "Zubimendi or Partey holding, Odegaard and Rice, they are fine, Odegaard has got to have a big season next season, because this season he has been poor."

Bent was particularly enthusiastic about Spanish winger Nico Williams, stating: "On the left, Nico Williams, I like him. Part of a very successful Spain team. 100 per cent better than Martinelli."

The former Premier League striker also suggested that current Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard should depart the club, adding: "Trossard needs to go, so you still need two, so I would go Nico Williams on the left. Down the middle, Viktor Gyokeres."

These recommendations come at a crucial time for Arsenal as they prepare for what will be a pivotal transfer window in Arteta's tenure. The Spanish manager will be looking to strengthen his squad after falling short in both domestic and European competitions this season.

Arsenal fans will now be watching closely to see if the club's hierarchy moves for any of Bent's suggested targets when the summer transfer window opens.
