Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has made a desperate public appeal for financial assistance, revealing she has been homeless and battling illness for six years.

In an emotional video interview with colleague Biola Bayo on Tuesday, George disclosed her dire situation, stating that she currently lives in a church and depends on charity for her daily meals.

"Please I need help. I'm tired, and I can't bear it any longer. I have been home for 6 years, and currently living in the church. Most times it's the mummy in the church that feeds me. I have nothing to call my own," the actress said, breaking down in tears during the interview.

George further revealed her serious health challenges, explaining that she requires urgent medical attention but lacks the financial means to pursue treatment.

"I have been sick, I have done different tests in the past, and now I need to go for brain and heart tests which is N400,000. I don't know where to get it from. I can't sleep because I am always in pain. Everything is wrong with me," she lamented.

This is not the first time the actress has faced public challenges. According to previous reports, George had once spoken about her 14-year absence from Nollywood, which she attributed to inappropriate demands from industry figures. In another incident, her daughter was reportedly found in Mali after going missing.

The actress's emotional plea has begun circulating on social media, drawing attention to the often precarious financial situations faced by some veterans in the Nigerian entertainment industry, even after years of contributing to Nollywood.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from Nollywood guilds or associations regarding assistance for the ailing actress.
