The National Universities Commission (NUC) has officially accredited all 28 academic programs offered at Zamfara State University, Talata-Mafara, marking a significant milestone for the institution.

According to a statement released by the university management, the accreditation exercise was conducted between February 16 and 26, 2025, as part of the NUC's 2025 accreditation of academic programs in Nigerian universities.

The results revealed that 20 programs received full accreditation with excellent scores, while the remaining 8 programs were granted interim accreditation. This achievement underscores the university's commitment to maintaining high standards of academic excellence and quality education.

The university management expressed profound gratitude to the Zamfara State Government for its unwavering support, particularly highlighting Governor Dauda Lawal's contributions in providing necessary funds and resources that were instrumental in meeting all accreditation requirements.

"We thank His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, most sincerely for his attention to the needs of the university, which has enabled it to meet all accreditation requirements effectively," the statement read.
