Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday for a hearing regarding contempt allegations made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Justice Binta Nyako scheduled Tuesday's session to address Akpabio's claims that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan recently violated a court order. The judge also indicated that she would hear the earlier contempt charge filed by Akpoti-Uduaghan against Akpabio, the Senate, and others over alleged disobedience to a previous court directive.

During Monday's preliminary hearing, Akpoti-Uduaghan's legal team, led by Jibrin Okutekpa, informed the court that all parties had filed the relevant documents as previously instructed and were prepared to proceed with the case.

This court appearance is the latest development in the ongoing legal dispute between Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President Akpabio. The conflict has attracted significant attention, with a youth organization recently calling on Niger Delta leaders to intervene in the feud between the two politicians.

In a related matter, the court is scheduled to deliver judgment on June 27 regarding Akpoti-Uduaghan's suit against the Senate and Akpabio concerning her suspension.

The case continues to highlight tensions within Nigeria's legislative body as both parties seek legal remedies for their grievances.
