Nigerian on-air personality and rapper, Nnamdi Nwabasili, popularly known as N6, has claimed responsibility for instigating the infamous beef between rap heavyweights M.I Abaga and Vector Tha Viper.

In a recent interview with Day Genius, N6 revealed that his diss track responding to M.I's controversial 2017 song 'You Rappers Should Fix Up Your Lives' served as the catalyst for the long-standing feud between the two Nigerian rap icons.

"I did a reply track to M.I's diss track 'You Rappers Should Fix Up Your Lives,' but he replied me with tweets. So, we didn't go on the full extent of a rap beef," N6 explained. "He did 'You Rappers Should Fix Up Your Lives' and I did 'You Should Fix Up Your Life, Too,' then he replied me with about 18 tweets."

According to N6, while other rappers responded diplomatically to M.I's provocative track, his hard-hitting reply escalated tensions and ultimately inspired Vector's subsequent lyrical attacks against the 'Number 1' crooner.

"That was the only time I ever went at a fellow rapper. I like to keep a friendly disposition with my colleagues because I know I'm crazily talented. So, what am I dragging with them?" N6 stated. "When I dropped my reply track, we got into a fight. Some people don't know that was what led to him [M.I] and Vector's beef."

The media personality further claimed that the intensity of his response prompted M.I to single him out among numerous replies. "If you hear the things I said in my reply, I understand why out of 4,000 replies, he came for me," N6 added.

The beef between M.I Abaga and Vector remains one of the most memorable rivalries in Nigerian hip-hop history, with both artists releasing multiple diss tracks aimed at each other over several years.

N6's revelation provides new context to the origins of this significant chapter in Nigerian rap culture, highlighting how a single response track helped ignite one of the industry's most talked-about feuds.
