Bendel Insurance technical adviser, Greg Ikhenoba, has expressed satisfaction with his team's performance in the closing stages of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Benin Arsenals, who currently occupy fifth position on the NPFL table, are set to finish the season in a respectable position, far from relegation concerns that plague other teams.
Following their 1-0 victory over Heartland FC in Benin City on Sunday, Ikhenoba praised both his players and the club's supporters for their unwavering support throughout the campaign.
"I'm happy we are not among those battling relegation. Thank God for the goal and the ability to hold on to it till the end," Ikhenoba stated after the match.
"We will take the last game in Enugu and see what happens. I really appreciate the players and our fans—the supporters' club—for the support we have received so far. They didn't lose hope; they stood by us throughout."
The 2023 Federation Cup winners will conclude their season with an away fixture against Lobi Stars. This final match could potentially impact their final standing, though they have already secured a comfortable mid-table position.
Bendel Insurance's performance this season marks a period of stability for the club, which has shown significant improvement under Ikhenoba's guidance. Their current fifth-place position represents a solid achievement for the Benin-based side in Nigeria's top-flight football league.
