The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) has officially unveiled its Team of the Year for the 2024/2025 Premier League season at a prestigious gala ceremony held in Manchester on Tuesday night.

In a surprising selection between the posts, Nottingham Forest's Matz Sels earned the goalkeeper position ahead of Arsenal's David Raya, who had been widely tipped as the favorite following the Gunners' strong defensive record throughout the season.

The defensive line features a strong Arsenal presence with center-back pairing William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães both making the cut after their formidable partnership helped solidify Arsenal's backline. They are joined by Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk and Bournemouth's breakout star Milos Kerkez, who has impressed in his debut Premier League season.

Liverpool dominates the midfield selections with Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister both recognized for their contributions to the Reds' campaign. Arsenal's Declan Rice completes the midfield trio after another stellar season following his big-money move from West Ham.

The forward line features Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood, whose goal-scoring prowess has been crucial to his team's success this season. Newcastle United's Alexander Isak continues to justify his club-record transfer fee with another inclusion, while Liverpool's Mohamed Salah maintains his reputation as one of the league's elite attackers with yet another Team of the Year appearance.
