Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions, Bayelsa Queens, are set to kick off their 2025 WAFU B Women's Champions League campaign against Police Ladies of Ghana on Saturday, December 23, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire.

The tournament fixtures were officially released by the organizers on Saturday, revealing the competitive path ahead for the Nigerian champions.

According to the schedule, hosts Asec Mimosas will face AS Garde of Niger Republic in the competition's opening fixture, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting regional tournament.

Bayelsa Queens have been drawn in Group B alongside Police Ladies (Ghana), AS ASKO (Benin Republic), and Sam Nelly (Benin Republic). This grouping presents a challenging but navigable path for the Nigerian representatives.

The regional championship will run from Saturday, August 23 to Saturday, December 5, 2025, with matches taking place in Côte d'Ivoire.

For Bayelsa Queens, the stakes are high as the tournament winner will secure a coveted spot alongside seven other teams at the 2025 CAF Women's Champions League, representing the ultimate prize in African club football for women.

The Nigerian champions will be looking to leverage their domestic success on the regional stage, having recently been rewarded by Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri for their NWFL title triumph.

Football analysts will be watching closely to see if Bayelsa Queens can navigate through their group successfully and make a strong bid for continental qualification.
