The Emir of Gudi in Fika local government area of Yobe State, Alhaji Isah Bunuwo Madugu Ibn Khaji, has passed away after battling a prolonged illness. According to family sources, the traditional ruler died on Thursday at Nizamiye Hospital in Abuja.

The funeral prayer for the late 19th Emir of Gudi Emirate has been scheduled for Friday at 2:00 PM in Gadaka town, Fika local government area. Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni is expected to attend the solemn ceremony.

The late monarch's passing marks a significant moment for the Gudi Emirate, which is one of the 14 Emirate Councils in Yobe State. All emirs in the state hold first-class status, highlighting the importance of traditional institutions in the region's governance structure.
