The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has announced the commencement of Computer-Based Tests (CBT) for applicants who successfully passed the screening stage for civil service recruitment in the state.
According to the official announcement, the examinations will begin on Thursday, July 31, 2025, and continue until August 9, 2025, across 13 designated Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) centers throughout the state.
The Permanent Secretary of the Adamawa State Civil Service Commission, Abubakar Maiha, confirmed that successful candidates will receive notification slips via email and SMS starting from July 25. These slips will contain essential information including a link to print examination slips with details of examination centers, dates, times, and other relevant instructions.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, released the detailed schedule for the examinations, which has been organized by local government areas:
• July 31 - August 1: Candidates from Yola North, Yola South, Fufore, and Girei LGAs will take the test at four centers in Yola.
• August 4-5: Candidates from Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Michika, and Madagali LGAs will write in three centers in Mubi Town.
• August 4-5: Hong and Gombi candidates will take the test at a center in Hong.
• August 7-8: Numan, Shelleng, Lamurde, and Guyuk candidates will write at two centers in Numan.
• August 7-8: Mayo-Belwa LGA candidates will take the test in Mayo-Belwa Town.
• August 8: Jada candidates will sit for the test in Jada Town.
• August 7-8: Ganye and Toungo candidates will take the CBT in Yola.
The commission has also designated August 9, 2025, as a makeup day for all absentees from any local government area, with the examination to be held in Yola.
The recruitment exercise has seen significant interest, with 96,102 initial applicants for the 4,000 vacancies declared by the government. After the initial screening process, 44,099 applicants were disqualified, leaving 52,003 candidates to participate in the upcoming CBT examinations.
The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has assured all candidates of a free and fair recruitment process throughout all stages of the exercise.
