Real Madrid legend Marcelo has revealed the three current Los Blancos players he would have loved to share the pitch with at the Santiago Bernabéu, naming Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Arda Güler as his dream teammates.
The Brazilian icon, who spent over a decade at the Spanish giants before departing in 2022, expressed his admiration for the current crop of Madrid stars in a recent interview.
"Current player in Madrid I would like to play with? Mbappe, Arda, Bellingham," Marcelo stated.
The trio of Mbappé, Bellingham, and Güler are expected to be pivotal for Xabi Alonso's side in the upcoming season as Real Madrid aims to reclaim the La Liga title after falling short last season.
Marcelo, now 37, left Real Madrid for Olympiacos in 2022 before returning to his homeland to join Brazilian club Fluminense in 2023. Though he has since hung up his boots, the legendary left-back maintains close ties with the current Real Madrid squad.
During his illustrious career at Real Madrid, Marcelo established himself as one of the greatest left-backs in football history, winning numerous trophies including five Champions League titles and six La Liga championships.
His technical ability and attacking prowess would have undoubtedly complemented the talents of Mbappé's explosive pace, Bellingham's midfield dynamism, and Güler's creative flair had their careers overlapped at the Bernabéu.
