Former Super Eagles captain, John Obi Mikel, has identified midfielder Moises Caicedo as the only Chelsea player capable of breaking into Paris Saint-Germain's current starting eleven ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup final clash.
Speaking to talkSPORT before Sunday's highly anticipated final, Mikel suggested the Ecuadorian international could potentially replace João Neves in the PSG lineup, while acknowledging that other PSG midfielders like Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha are currently irreplaceable.
"That is a tough one," Mikel said when asked which Chelsea player could get into Luis Enrique's team. "Probably just, just [Moises] Caicedo I think might just get in there."
The former Chelsea midfielder elaborated on his reasoning: "But you need to find a way to fit Caicedo and Vitinha because you can't take Vitinha out of that team. He has been absolutely brilliant."
"Ruiz has been on fire and he is scoring goals. Maybe [Caicedo could replace] Joao Neves, just maybe," Mikel added, highlighting the strength of PSG's current midfield options.
The assessment from the 38-year-old former Nigeria international comes as both European giants prepare to face off in what promises to be an exciting FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday.
Mikel, who enjoyed a successful career at Chelsea from 2006 to 2017, has been providing analysis on his former club throughout the tournament. Earlier, he had predicted the outcome of Chelsea's semifinal against Benfica and also suggested potential signings the London club should consider making.
