The Opta SuperComputer has released its predictions for the 2025 Club World Cup currently taking place in the United States, with Paris Saint-Germain emerging as the favorites to lift the prestigious trophy.

As the tournament reaches its semi-final stage, only four teams remain in contention: Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Fluminense, and Real Madrid. According to the statistical model, PSG has been given a 39% probability of adding the Club World Cup to their trophy cabinet, following their Champions League triumph approximately two months ago.

The French champions have been the standout performers throughout the tournament and will face Real Madrid in what promises to be a thrilling semi-final clash. Despite their illustrious history in international competitions, the Spanish giants have been assigned just a 24% chance of claiming victory.

Chelsea holds the second-highest probability at 34%, positioning them as strong contenders ahead of their semi-final encounter with Brazilian side Fluminense. The South American representatives have been given the lowest odds, with just a 3% chance of lifting the trophy according to the SuperComputer's calculations.

Both semi-final fixtures are scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the winners advancing to contest the final of this expanded Club World Cup format.

Chelsea's preparation has been hampered by reports that manager Enzo Maresca will be without two key players for their clash against Fluminense, while Real Madrid will miss defender Dean Huijsen for their match against PSG following his red card in the previous round.

The tournament has already showcased exceptional talent, with several players from Chelsea, PSG, and Real Madrid being included in the Club World Cup Team of the Tournament so far.
