Turkish giants Galatasaray have requested Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and his representatives to make a decision regarding his future by the first week of July, according to respected football commentator Serkan Korkmaz.
Korkmaz, speaking on the Kontraspor Youtube channel, revealed that Galatasaray's management is eager to resolve Osimhen's situation promptly. "A piece of information that will please Galatasaray fans has arrived. Until a period that is not clear which end of the first week of July it refers to, Galatasaray management said to Osimhen and his representatives, 'Let's not drag this out too long. Let's make a decision on this issue at the beginning of July,'" Korkmaz stated.
The commentator added, "Galatasaray did not give up but mentioned a date," indicating the Turkish club remains interested in securing the Nigerian international's services on a permanent basis.
Osimhen's Current Situation
Osimhen's loan spell with Galatasaray concluded several weeks ago after joining the Yellow-Reds from Napoli last year. The 26-year-old striker is currently on summer holiday while his future remains uncertain.
Multiple top clubs have been linked with the Nigerian forward, including Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, Premier League giants Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal, as well as Italian club Juventus. Galatasaray also remains in the race to secure his signature on a permanent deal.
The Turkish club's ultimatum suggests they are unwilling to be kept waiting indefinitely as they plan for the upcoming season, putting pressure on Osimhen to clarify his intentions sooner rather than later.
This development comes amid intense speculation about where the prolific striker will continue his career, with his performances having attracted interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs.
