Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has openly admitted his desire to move to Barcelona, expressing his wish to play alongside Spanish wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

The England international, who was sidelined by manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford last season, subsequently joined Aston Villa on loan in January until the end of the campaign.

Speaking to Spanish YouTube channel XBuyer, Rashford was asked if he would like to play with Yamal in the future. His response was telling: "Yeah, sure. Everybody in the world wants to play with the best. So hopefully, we'll see…"

The 27-year-old is widely expected to leave Manchester United permanently this summer after falling out of favor with the current management. His loan spell at Aston Villa appears to have been a temporary solution to a deteriorating situation at his boyhood club.

Position Change on the Cards

Interestingly, Rashford also revealed his growing comfort with playing in a more central attacking role, potentially signaling a positional shift in his career.

"For me as I've got older, the Number 9 position is becoming more comfortable, more natural," he explained during the interview.

This tactical flexibility could make him an attractive option for Barcelona, who might be looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

The potential partnership between Rashford and the talented Yamal could prove formidable, with the Spanish teenager already making waves in European football despite his young age.

As the summer transfer window heats up, all eyes will be on whether Barcelona makes a formal approach for the Manchester United forward, and if the Catalan giants can meet any financial demands that might be placed on the deal.
