Ligue 1 club Paris FC has emerged as the latest team interested in signing Nigerian international Moses Simon from Nantes this summer transfer window, as the player enters the final year of his contract.

Simon, 29, has not been offered a contract extension by Nantes despite his impressive performance last season, where he registered eight goals and nine assists in 32 league appearances for the Canaries.

Growing Interest in the Nigerian Winger

The Super Eagles star has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe. Premier League side Everton and French giants Olympique Lyon and Olympique Marseille have all been linked with moves for the versatile winger.

Sources close to the player indicate that Simon is currently pursuing French nationality, which could influence his decision to remain in France rather than move abroad, giving Paris FC an advantage in negotiations.

Simon's Journey in French Football

The Nigerian international initially joined Nantes on loan from Spanish club Levante during the 2019/20 season before the move was made permanent the following season. During his time with Nantes, Simon has established himself as one of the most consistent African players in the French top flight.

His pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal have made him a fan favorite at the Stade de la Beaujoire and a valuable asset in the transfer market.

With just one year remaining on his current deal, Nantes may be forced to sell the player this summer rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next year.

Paris FC, who have been working to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, see Simon as a potential key addition to boost their attacking options.
