Popular football commentator Murat Özbostan has revealed that Victor Osimhen's family is strongly opposed to the Nigerian striker moving to Saudi Arabia, despite renewed interest from Al Hilal.
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Saudi club Al Hilal is preparing a new proposal for the 26-year-old Napoli forward after their initial approach was rejected. The race for Osimhen's signature remains open with Galatasaray, several Premier League clubs, and Juventus all maintaining interest.
Özbostan believes Galatasaray currently holds the advantage in negotiations, stating: "Osimhen is not closing the door to Galatasaray either, but he has not made a clear decision. He is still confused."
"Osimhen's family is not keen on Arabia. I think his chances of staying at Galatasaray are around 60%," Özbostan added.
Family Influence and Galatasaray's Generous Offer
The Turkish giants have reportedly made a substantial offer to retain the Nigerian international, who helped them secure a domestic double during his loan spell last season. Özbostan praised the club's approach, noting: "Galatasaray made their offer and then waited. I think the Galatasaray management is being very generous."
Osimhen remains contracted to Napoli until June 2026 but appears unlikely to feature in new manager Antonio Conte's plans, with the Italian coach reportedly preferring Romelu Lukaku as his first-choice striker.
The former African Footballer of the Year is expected to be transferred before the summer window closes, with his family's preferences potentially playing a crucial role in his final decision.
As Osimhen weighs his options, the coming weeks will be decisive for the Nigerian striker's future, with sporting ambitions, financial considerations, and family wishes all factoring into what promises to be one of the summer's most significant transfer sagas.
