Former Kasimpasa manager Onder Ozen has advised Galatasaray to consider signing Nice forward Evann Guessand as an alternative if they fail to secure Victor Osimhen on a permanent transfer following the expiration of his loan spell.
Osimhen, who has yet to decide on his next career move, has attracted interest from several clubs including Juventus, Al Hilal, and various Premier League teams this summer transfer window.
Speaking on the Vole YouTube channel, Ozen suggested a potential alternative for the Turkish champions: "If Galatasaray cannot get Victor Osimhen, they can get Nice's center forward Evann Guessand. They can invest in the future. He is also selected for the Ivory Coast National Team."
Osimhen's Impact at Galatasaray
The Nigerian international made a significant impact during his loan spell at Galatasaray, netting an impressive 37 goals across all competitions last season. His contributions were instrumental in helping the club secure both the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super Lig title.
Following such a successful stint, Galatasaray are understandably keen to sign the 26-year-old striker on a permanent basis. However, competition for his signature remains fierce.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has previously indicated that Osimhen has multiple options to consider regarding his next destination, adding another layer of complexity to the striker's decision-making process.
For Galatasaray, securing a proven goalscorer like Osimhen would be ideal, but Ozen's suggestion of Guessand represents a forward-thinking alternative that could serve the club's long-term interests if they miss out on their primary target.
As the transfer window progresses, all eyes will be on Osimhen's decision and Galatasaray's subsequent moves in the striker market.
