Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has predicted that new Real Madrid signing Trent Alexander-Arnold will thrive at the Santiago Bernabeu and eventually become the world's best right-back.
Alexander-Arnold recently joined the Spanish giants as a free agent after deciding not to extend his contract with Liverpool. The 26-year-old England international will now compete with veteran Dani Carvajal for the starting right-back position under manager Xabi Alonso.
Speaking about the high-profile transfer, Alcaraz expressed confidence in Alexander-Arnold's future at Los Blancos.
"It's great having Trent at Real Madrid. Huge respect to him. I'm pretty sure he's going to be the best RB in the world," Alcaraz said.
Alexander-Arnold has been handed the prestigious number 12 shirt previously worn by club legend Marcelo. The defender has already been included in Alonso's squad for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup competition, signaling his immediate integration into the team.
This transfer represents one of the summer's most significant moves, with Real Madrid continuing their tradition of acquiring top talent from the Premier League. Alexander-Arnold brings his exceptional passing range and set-piece expertise to a Madrid side looking to dominate both domestically and in Europe.
