Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano has expressed satisfaction with his team's performance despite their goalless draw against Al-Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup group stage match on Saturday.

The Egyptian side dominated the first half at the Hard Rock Stadium but failed to capitalize on their opportunities, including a penalty miss by Trezeguet in the 43rd minute that was brilliantly saved by Inter Miami goalkeeper Oscar Ustari.

Ustari's heroics kept Inter Miami in the game with multiple world-class saves throughout the match, proving to be a crucial factor in securing the draw for the American side.

Mascherano Praises Team Despite Missed Opportunities

Speaking after the match, Mascherano remained positive about his team's display, particularly in the second half when Inter Miami took control of proceedings.

"We wanted to win, but even so I am happy with the team's performance today," the Argentine coach said. "Football is like that. If we look at the whole match, I think we were better today."

"We were much better than Al Ahly in the second half. We controlled the ball. We had chances to score and win the game," Mascherano added.

Messi Unable to Break Deadlock

Despite dominating possession in the second half, Inter Miami couldn't find the breakthrough, with star player Lionel Messi failing to convert several opportunities that came his way.

The result leaves both teams with a point each in their FIFA Club World Cup group stage campaign, with everything still to play for in their remaining matches.
