Former British boxing champion Carl Froch has boldly predicted that rising heavyweight star Moses Itauma will not only defeat Dillian Whyte in their upcoming bout but will likely end the veteran's career in the process.

The highly anticipated heavyweight clash between 20-year-old Itauma and 37-year-old Whyte is scheduled for August 16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This matchup represents a significant step up in competition for the young Itauma, as Whyte brings the experience of a former world-title challenger to the ring.

Froch's Bold Prediction

Speaking on his "Froch On Fighting" platform, the former super-middleweight world champion didn't mince words about the potential outcome of the fight.

"Whyte I think is about finished and he is up to fight Moses Itauma as well. I think Itauma is going to absolutely outclass [him] and probably flatten Whyte and that will be the end of him," Froch stated.

The former champion went further, suggesting that even Anthony Joshua should avoid facing Itauma, adding, "I would not put Anthony Joshua [to fight] with Itauma. Because for me that would be another beatdown."

Growing Consensus Among Boxing Experts

Froch isn't alone in his assessment of the upcoming bout. British boxer Dave Allen has also predicted that Itauma will overcome the more experienced Whyte, suggesting a growing consensus among boxing insiders about the young fighter's potential.

The matchup has generated significant interest in boxing circles, with many viewing it as a potential changing of the guard in the heavyweight division. At just 20 years old, Itauma is seen as one of the most promising talents in heavyweight boxing, while Whyte, despite his experience, appears to be in the twilight of his career according to these expert opinions.

As the August showdown approaches, all eyes will be on whether the young contender can live up to these lofty expectations against a seasoned veteran of the ring.
