Two people have been killed following multiple waves of Iranian missile strikes targeting Tel Aviv and other parts of Israel on Friday and early Saturday morning.
According to reports, an Israeli woman died on Saturday after sustaining wounds from the Iranian missiles. The second casualty occurred during the fourth wave of strikes.
Several homes in Tel Aviv were damaged by Iranian ballistic missiles as first responders worked diligently to search for survivors. Images circulating online showed completely destroyed homes and others with partial damage.
Israel's national Emergency Medical Services reported that they were treating and evacuating 21 people following a rocket strike in the country's coastal plain.
Escalating Tensions
The missile attacks come in the wake of Israeli military operations against Iran. BenriNews previously reported that Israeli forces had carried out dozens of airstrikes on Iranian targets.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that "all of Israel" was under fire from Iran's ballistic missiles during the attack. This marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between the two nations.
Earlier, Israel had claimed to have killed several top Iranian military officials in an operation dubbed "Rising Lion."
In response, Iran appointed new military leaders following the Israeli airstrikes that killed senior commanders.
The situation continues to develop as international observers express concern over the potential for further escalation in the region.
