Former England and Manchester United star David Beckham has congratulated Trent Alexander-Arnold following his official presentation as a Real Madrid player on Thursday.
The 26-year-old right-back, who joined the Spanish giants as a free agent from Liverpool, was welcomed to the Santiago Bernabeu by Beckham through a heartfelt message on social media.
"Congrats friend and welcome to a great club," Beckham wrote on Instagram in response to Alexander-Arnold's post featuring himself in the iconic white shirt at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior also extended a warm reception to his new teammate with a simple "Welcome" message.
Competition for Starting Position
Alexander-Arnold is expected to compete with Dani Carvajal for the starting right-back position in manager Xabi Alonso's squad. The England international has already been included in Alonso's squad for the upcoming 2025 FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
The move marks a significant career shift for Alexander-Arnold, who developed through Liverpool's academy to become one of the Premier League's most creative defenders before making this high-profile transfer to the Spanish capital.
His arrival at Real Madrid adds further depth to an already star-studded squad as they prepare to compete for multiple trophies in the upcoming season.
