Real Madrid has officially announced an agreement to sign promising talent Mastantuono from River Plate in a deal worth approximately €61 million including taxes.

According to reports from beIN Sport, the young star won't be joining the Spanish giants immediately. Madrid has strategically decided to delay his arrival until after the Club World Cup, primarily due to River Plate's insistence on retaining him for the remainder of their Copa Libertadores campaign.

While Mastantuono's arrival is scheduled for later, Los Blancos will have new signing Trent Alexander-Arnold available for the Club World Cup. The former Liverpool defender, whose transfer was completed with a €10 million compensation fee, is already training with Xabi Alonso's squad at Valdebebas and preparing for his debut.

This latest acquisition continues Real Madrid's strategy of securing young talent with high potential, following their successful recruitment policy that has seen them blend experienced stars with emerging prospects in recent seasons.

The Spanish champions' activity in the transfer market signals their intent to strengthen the squad ahead of their Club World Cup campaign and maintain their competitive edge both domestically and in European competitions.

In related news, David Beckham and Vinicius Jr. have reportedly sent messages of support to Alexander-Arnold following his official presentation as a Real Madrid player.
