Barcelona legend Gerard Piqué has named three Barcelona players among his top six contenders for the 2025 Ballon d'Or award, placing them in the top three positions.

During a recent segment with DAZN Football, the former Spain international was asked to blindly rank his top six candidates for football's most prestigious individual honor.

Piqué placed Barcelona's young sensation Lamine Yamal in first position, followed by midfield maestro Pedri in second, and Brazilian winger Raphinha completing his top three.

The former defender's list continued with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha in fourth place, while Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé had to settle for fifth position. PSG's Ousmane Dembélé rounded out Piqué's selection in sixth place.

Piqué's rankings notably placed Barcelona's players ahead of Mbappé, who has long been considered one of the world's best players and a perennial Ballon d'Or contender.

The winner of the 2025 Ballon d'Or will be announced later this year, with all the aforementioned players considered strong contenders for the award that recognizes the world's best footballer.

Piqué himself is well-acquainted with Ballon d'Or-caliber talent, having played alongside previous winners including Lionel Messi during his illustrious career at Barcelona before retiring from professional football.
