Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen has officially turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal, despite the club proposing a staggering €45 million annual package.

According to reports, the Saudi club was prepared to pay the 26-year-old Super Eagles star a base salary of €40 million per year with an additional €5 million in performance bonuses. However, Osimhen has made it clear that his future lies in Europe rather than the Middle East.

Nigerian broadcast journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba, revealed that this was actually the fifth offer from Al Hilal that Osimhen has rejected, suggesting persistent interest from the Saudi club in securing the striker's services.

"Victor Osimhen officially rejects Al Hilal 5th offer. He has decided not to move there no Matter the money offered. Case closed," Buchi Laba wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The journalist further added: "Main priority is to stay back in Europe with a Top Italian club very interested and other European clubs. He's going to take his time."

This development comes amid reports that Al Hilal had previously agreed to a €75 million transfer fee and had even scheduled travel arrangements and medical examinations for the Nigerian forward.

Osimhen's decision to reject the Saudi offer indicates his commitment to continuing his career at the highest level of European football, with several top clubs reportedly monitoring his situation closely.

The striker's future has been a subject of intense speculation in recent months, with various European giants linked to his signature. While specific clubs haven't been named, reports suggest that a top Italian club is among those interested in acquiring his services.
