Nigerian international Ola Aina has been nominated for Nottingham Forest's Goal of the Season award for his spectacular strike against West Ham United during the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Aina's powerful long-range effort, which came 12 minutes from time in Nottingham Forest's 3-0 victory over West Ham, has been recognized alongside goals from five other teammates for the prestigious individual accolade.
The full-back's nomination comes after an impressive season under manager Nuno Espirito Santo, where he netted twice for the Tricky Trees. His thunderous strike from outside the box against West Ham showcased his technical ability and eye for goal.
Competing with Aina for the award are Callum Hudson-Odoi, Chris Wood, Jota Silva, Elliot Anderson, and Anthony Elanga, all of whom scored memorable goals for Nottingham Forest during the season.
This nomination adds to Aina's growing list of recognitions for his performances in the 2024/25 season. The Nigerian defender was also shortlisted for the EA Sports FC Premier League Team of the Season and the Premier League Fan Team of the Season, highlighting his consistent displays throughout the campaign.
Aina, who joined Nottingham Forest after a spell at Fulham, has established himself as a key player in the team's defensive setup while occasionally contributing to the attack with his forward runs and shooting ability.
The winner of Nottingham Forest's Goal of the Season award will be determined in the coming weeks as the club wraps up its end-of-season honors following the conclusion of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
