Ten home-based Super Eagles players and their officials touched down in London on Monday ahead of their participation in the Unity Cup invitational tournament.

The Nigerian contingent, led by captain Ahmed Musa, includes local talents Ifeanyi Oyebuchi, Papa Daniel, Nduka Junior, Sadiq Ismaila, and Waliu Ojetoye. Other home-based players making the trip are Collins Ugwueze, Saviour Isaac, Abubakar Adamu, and Sikiru Alimi.

According to team officials, the foreign-based players are expected to join the squad later today, completing head coach Eric Chelle's selection for the tournament.

The Super Eagles will kick off their Unity Cup campaign against longtime continental rivals, the Black Stars of Ghana, on Wednesday at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.

The four-nation tournament also features the Reggae Boys of Jamaica and the Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago, setting up what promises to be an exciting international competition.

This tournament provides valuable preparation for the Nigerian national team as they continue to build cohesion under coach Chelle's guidance, with the blend of domestic and foreign-based talents offering a glimpse into the future direction of the squad.

Football fans across Nigeria will be eager to see how the Super Eagles perform in this international friendly tournament, particularly in the high-profile opener against Ghana.
