Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, Arsenal star of Nigerian descent, is set to depart the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, bringing to a close his 14-year association with the North London club.

The 22-year-old forward, who joined Arsenal's youth setup in 2011, has enjoyed an impressive campaign in the Premier League 2 this season, registering nine goals and providing six assists in just 13 appearances.

Butler-Oyedeji's stellar performances earned him call-ups to the Arsenal senior team, where he featured in the UEFA Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb and made appearances in the Premier League during Arsenal's title-challenging campaign.

According to club academy expert Jeorge Bird, the youngster is expected to leave Arsenal when his contract expires, despite his recent breakthrough into the first team.

Earlier this year, Butler-Oyedeji turned down a loan move to Swiss side FC Zurich during the January transfer window. His decision to remain at Arsenal was reportedly influenced by the club's injury problems in attack, with the player opting to stay and provide depth for the first team.

Reports suggest the Nigerian-British forward has been linked with a potential move to Danish giants FC Copenhagen as he looks to continue his professional career elsewhere.

Butler-Oyedeji's departure adds to what appears to be a summer of changes at Arsenal, with manager Mikel Arteta recently revealing that four players will be leaving the club during the upcoming transfer window.
