Manchester United has confirmed the departure of three senior players following their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on the final day of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, and Jonny Evans will all leave Old Trafford as free agents after their contracts expired, according to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

"Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelöf and Jonny Evans say goodbye to Man United fans as they're leaving as free agents," Romano confirmed via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday.

The trio made their final appearances for the club during Sunday's match against Aston Villa, with Lindelof starting the game while Eriksen and Evans came off the bench for their farewell performances.

In a fitting end to his Manchester United career, Eriksen scored the team's second goal from the penalty spot, securing the 2-0 victory after Amad Diallo had opened the scoring with a looping header.

Lindelof joined Manchester United in 2017 and made over 200 appearances for the club, while Eriksen arrived in 2022 following his recovery from a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020. Evans, a product of United's academy, returned to the club in 2023 for his second spell after previously playing for the Red Devils between 2006 and 2015.

The departures signal the beginning of what could be a significant summer of change at Manchester United under manager Ruben Amorim, who has already spoken about implementing numerous changes at the club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
