Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has capped off an exceptional 2024/2025 Premier League season by claiming both the Golden Boot and the Playmaker Award following the conclusion of the campaign on Sunday.
The Egyptian forward scored in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Anfield on the final day, bringing his season tally to 29 goals. This impressive haul put him six goals clear of his nearest challenger, Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, who finished with 23 goals.
The achievement marks Salah's fourth Golden Boot award, equalling the record set by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry for the most Premier League Golden Boots won by a single player.
In addition to his goal-scoring prowess, Salah also demonstrated his creative abilities by registering 18 assists throughout the season, earning him the Playmaker Award as the league's top assist provider.
The double individual honour comes as Liverpool secured the Premier League title in what has been a remarkable debut season for new manager Arne Slot, who took over the reins at Anfield at the beginning of the campaign.
Meanwhile, the Golden Glove award for the goalkeeper with the most clean sheets ended in a tie. Arsenal's David Raya and Nottingham Forest's Mat Sels both finished the season with 13 clean sheets each. Raya conceded in Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Southampton, while Sels was unable to keep a clean sheet as Forest suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at the City Ground.
The final day also confirmed the teams that will compete in European competitions next season, with several clubs securing their places in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League for the 2025/2026 campaign.
In other final day news, Heartland FC and Akwa United were relegated from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), while Manchester United bid farewell to three players following their 2-0 victory over Aston Villa.
