Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah has declared that the current season represents his "best chance" to claim the prestigious Ballon d'Or award following an exceptional campaign with the Reds.

The 32-year-old Egyptian forward has been in scintillating form, helping Liverpool secure the Premier League title while amassing an impressive tally of 28 goals and 18 assists across all competitions. Salah currently leads the race for the Premier League Golden Boot, further strengthening his case for football's most coveted individual honor.

Speaking to Sky Sports about his Ballon d'Or prospects, Salah expressed confidence in his chances: "I would say I never had a season like this and winning big trophies. So I would say this is my best chance to get it right now while I'm in the club because it's been a crazy year, a crazy season with a trophy."

The Ballon d'Or winner for 2025 will be announced on September 22, with Salah facing stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé and Barcelona's young sensation Lamine Yamal.

Despite never having won the prestigious award before, Salah's remarkable consistency and match-winning performances throughout the season have positioned him as one of the frontrunners for the accolade.

Football pundits and former players have been weighing in on the Ballon d'Or race, with various opinions on who might claim the award. The Egyptian star's combination of goals, assists, and contribution to Liverpool's Premier League triumph makes his case particularly compelling.

Should Salah win the Ballon d'Or, he would become the first Egyptian and Liverpool player to receive the honor since its inception, marking a historic achievement for both his country and club.
