Nigerian international Moses Simon has addressed growing speculation about a potential move to English Premier League side Everton, clarifying that while he harbors ambitions of playing in England's top flight, he is not desperate to leave his current club, FC Nantes.

The 29-year-old winger, who has been with the French Ligue 1 outfit for five seasons, has attracted interest from the Merseyside club following another impressive campaign where he contributed eight goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions.

"I've always given my best for this club, and I respect my contract. But of course, every player wants to play at the highest level," Simon told Sports Boom in a recent interview. "The Premier League is one of the best in the world. If the right offer comes, and it's good for me and my family, then why not? But I'm not desperate."

Simon's statement comes amid consistent links to Everton, with several reports suggesting the Premier League club is keen on securing his services. The Nigerian has been a standout performer for Nantes, with his pace, creativity, and goal-scoring ability making him a valuable asset.

His impressive form has not gone unnoticed, with the winger recently nominated for the Ligue 1 Goal of the Season award. Former Nigerian international Joseph Yobo and former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr have both publicly encouraged Simon to consider a move to the Premier League.

Turkish club Trabzonspor is also reportedly interested in Simon, with reports suggesting they are preparing a €10 million bid for the Nigerian international.

As the transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Simon's next move, but the player's comments suggest he is taking a measured approach to his future, prioritizing what's best for both his career and his family.
