Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis has returned to Nottingham Forest following the conclusion of his six-month loan spell with Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
The 27-year-old striker, who joined Blackburn in January seeking regular playing time, endured a frustrating stint at the Championship club as injuries significantly hampered his contributions.
During his time at Rovers, Dennis made just seven appearances, with only one as a starter, failing to make the impact both he and the club had hoped for when the loan deal was arranged.
The Nigerian international now returns to his parent club with one year remaining on his contract with Nottingham Forest. However, sources close to the player suggest he is expected to seek a permanent move away from the City Ground this summer.
Dennis joined Forest in 2022 but has struggled to secure a regular place in the team's starting lineup, prompting his loan move to Blackburn earlier this year in search of more playing opportunities.
With the summer transfer window approaching, the forward will be hoping to find a new club where he can revitalize his career and showcase the talents that once made him a standout performer in the Premier League.
