Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke has urged the Red Devils to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, describing the potential transfer as a "no-brainer" that could help pull the club out of its current struggles.

Speaking with Instant Casino, Yorke expressed confidence in the Nigerian international's ability to handle the pressure at Old Trafford despite the club's recent poor form.

"They [United] have made too many mistakes and are paying for it. Can Osimhen handle the pressure? Well, it can't get any worse," Yorke stated. "He's been around for a while now, he's a senior player and he's scored wherever he's been."

The former United striker believes that joining Manchester United would present a fresh challenge for Osimhen. "The expectation of coming to Manchester United now, it's something that will give him another challenge to achieve," he added.

Yorke's comments come at a crucial time for Manchester United, who are currently struggling in the Premier League. Following their 2-0 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday, team captain Bruno Fernandes lamented the squad's inability to convert chances – a problem that Osimhen could potentially solve.

The Nigerian striker has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 33 goals and providing eight assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for Turkish side Galatasaray, where he is currently playing on loan.

"I think signing Osimhen is a no-brainer. I think it's a no-brainer because United are in a hole and they need to get out of it," Yorke emphasized.

With Ruben Amorim now at the helm at Old Trafford, Manchester United could be looking to strengthen their attacking options in the upcoming transfer window, and Osimhen's proven goal-scoring record makes him an attractive prospect for the club.
