Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has firmly denied rumors about his potential departure from the club, clarifying comments he made following Sunday's 2-0 defeat to West Ham United.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Amorim addressed speculation that emerged after he hinted at a possible exit in the wake of United's 17th Premier League defeat this season.

"What I'm saying is that since I arrived here I'm always talking about the standards," Amorim explained. "I cannot see the team having these results, especially in the Premier League and not say nothing and not take the responsibility."

The Portuguese tactician emphasized his commitment to the club while acknowledging the pressure that comes with managing a team of Manchester United's stature.

"It's just that I have a clear idea what to do. I understand the problems of the team, so I'm far from quitting," he insisted.

Amorim did, however, recognize the reality of football management, adding: "What I'm saying is that we need to perform and, we have this season and in the future we need to perform or else they will change us. That is normal thing."

The clarification comes at a crucial time for Manchester United as they prepare for the Europa League final, offering the team a chance to salvage something positive from an otherwise disappointing domestic campaign.

Despite their Premier League struggles, which have seen the Red Devils suffer an unprecedented number of defeats this season, success in Europe could provide Amorim with the breathing space needed to implement his long-term vision for the club.
